Big Ten School Review
The co-founders of CletusFest have attended football games at every Big Ten Stadium. Although each school visit includes great memories, we thought it would be helpful for Buckeye fans to know what they were getting themselves into when considering a Big Ten road trip. Our Rating is based on a Five Point Scale (5 being best):

Overall Rating: *****

Camp Randall Stadium
Yes the rumors are true; Wisconsin is a wild place! The fans are always into the game and the student section is the best in the Big Ten. Going to a game there is like going to a rock concert. But don't leave early . . . you have to see the 5th Quarter.

Fans
Badgerland can best be described as "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly". As game time approaches, visiting fans will know they are in enemy territory. The faithful will point you out and let loose some of the "ugly". On the other hand, we met several nice groups of people and enjoyed our time there.

Tailgate/Parking
Don't plan on pulling up to the stadium and parking. Most of the visitor lots are quite a walk from Camp Randall, but they include strong tailgating. We saw buses of "cheeseheads" feasting on brats and burgers. Another popular choice for getting ready for the game was a strip of bars on the way to the stadium that have a Varsity Club feel.

Nightlife/City Atmosphere
Madison is the state capital and has a lot of intriguing buildings to check out. As far as enjoying Wisconsin hospitality, you better have a car. The downtown is pretty far from the campus area. There are some fun clubs to enjoy, but none special enough for us to highlight here. Our recommendation is to go hard early and to not worry about clubbin' later in the night.
