Big Ten School Review
The co-founders of CletusFest have attended football games at every Big Ten Stadium. Although each school visit includes great memories, we thought it would be helpful for Buckeye fans to know what they were getting themselves into when considering a Big Ten road trip. Our Rating is based on a Five Point Scale (5 being best):
Overall Rating: **
Ryan Field
With the resemblance of a high school stadium, Ryan Field has an interesting charm. However, the thrill ends there. The crowd is pretty quiet and we could not find any interesting traditions or cheers.
Fans
There are probably a good number of Wildcat fans in the area. But we would say the Northwestern fans were rather forgettable. Not much talk about football, and even less cheering for their team.
Nightlife/City Atmosphere
Being the university is just a short train ride away from Chicago, there are plenty of options for a visitor. Evanston is a charming town with a lot of nice scenery. Once sundown occurs, head to CHI-town. We recommend a trip to the Lincoln Park area. Plenty of watering holes and lots of fun activities to keep a person entertained.
